Itinerary

Day 1: Cairo/Bucharest/Sibiu (290 km). Arrival during the morning to Otopeni airport, departure to Sibiu on the Olt Valley. Short stop to admire the scenery, arrival to Sibiu during noon. Visit in Sibiu. Accommodation in Sibiu.Sibiu is one of the most important cultural centres of Romania and was designated the European Capital of Culture for the year 2007, along with the city of Luxembourg. Formerly the centre of the Transylvanian Saxons, the old city of Sibiu was ranked as "Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes.

Day 2: Sibiu/Biertan/Sighisoara (110 km). After breakfast departure to Biertan. Visit of the fortified churches in Biertan, departure to Sighisoara. Visit in Sighisoara (Sighisoara Citadel, Covered Staircase, CloCk Tower) and accommodation.Biertan is one of the most important Saxon villages with fortified churches in Transylvania, having been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1993.  Sighi?oara is considered to be the most beautiful and well preserved inhabited citadel in Europe,  with authentic medieval architecture. It is a popular tourist destination for its well-preserved walled old town. The landmark of the city is the Clock Tower, a 64 m-high tower built in the 13th century. It is today a museum of history.

Day 3: Sighisoara/Viscri/Brasov (120 km). After breakfast departure to Brasov, with short stop in Viscri. Visit in Brasov (Council Square, Black Church, Brasov Citadel Fortress; optional: go up the Tampa with the cable car). Viscri is best known for its highly fortified church, originally built around 1100 AD by the Szecklers. In 1185 the church was taken over by Saxon colonists, and the Szecklers were forced to settle in southeast Transylvania. In the 14th century the eastern part of the church was rebuilt and in 1525, the first fortifications with towers were added. In the 18th century the church was enclosed by a second defense wall.Brasov the largest city in a mountain resorts area is located in the central part of the country, it is surrounded by the Southern Carpathians and is part of the Transylvania region. The first attested mention of Brasov is Terra Saxonum de Barasu ("Saxon Land of Baras") in a 1252 document. The old city is very well preserved and is best seen by taking the cable-car to the top of Tâmpa Mountain.

Day 4: Brasov/Bran Castle/Peles Castle/Moeciu. After breakfast departure and visit of Bran Castle, Peles Castle. Accommodation in Moeciu.Bran Castle is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle" (although it has only tangential associations with Vlad III, voivode of Wallachia).Pele? Castle is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, in Prahova County, built between 1873 and 1914. It’s inauguration was held in 1883 and was constructed by Charles I.

Day 5: Moeciu/Bucharest. After breakfast departure to Bucharest and visits (Palace of the Parliament, Arc de Triomphe, Romanian Athenaeum). Accommodation in Bucharest.Bucharest is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as it’s cultural, industrial, and financial centre. Located in the southeast of the country, on the banks of the Dâmbovi?a River, less than 60 km north of the Danube River and the Bulgarian border. It was first mentioned in documents in 1459. It became the capital of Romania in 1862. It’s architecture is a mix of historical (neo-classical), interbellum (Bauhaus and art deco), communist-era and modern. In the period between the two World Wars, the city's elegant architecture and the sophistication of it’s elite earned Bucharest the nickname of "Little Paris".

Day 6: Bucharest/Cairo. After breakfast free time in Bucharest. Check-out at noon and in the afternoon final departure.

  • Original bank statement printout of the past 6 months in English with a reasonable amount (stamped per page and doesn’t exceed the duration of 7 days before your appointment date).
  • For Student traveling without their parents, will need school grade letter as well parents bank statment and a written approval for travelling in English language.
  • Ticket, hotel reservation, and travel insurance (till age 65 years old) are required.
  • VISA decision is at the sole discretion of the Embassy with no liability on the agency.
